  • Which age groups is KUBO designed for?
    The teaching materials can be used with students from four to 10+ years. They are designed to introduce concepts of coding at beginner levels and to provide a systematic progression that takes students from simple to increasingly advanced programming skills. The materials cover all of the fundamental concepts of coding including functions, loops, conditions, events and variables.Some readers
  • What is The Coding License?
    The Coding License is a free resource available at KUBO.education. It is made up of a series of lesson plans and activities, worksheets and teacher guides. All of the materials have been developed by experienced teachers and have been tried and tested in classrooms.Some readers
  • What teaching materials are included with KUBO?
    KUBO comes with a comprehensive set of free lesson plans called The Coding License, available in multiple languages. Each plan includes a Teacher’s Guide, illustrated student materials and worksheets, which can be downloaded as a pdfs or viewed online. There are 11 lesson plans in total, four for KUBO Coding, three for KUBO Coding+, and one for KUBO Coding++ as well as a project pack that you can use for all three sets depending on the age of your students.   • Which curriculum standards do the teaching materials cover?
    The curriculum is designed by US experienced educators and mapped to the ISTE and CSTA computer science standards. It is also mapped to other country teaching standards in cases where our suppliers have asked to do so. Please check the different language versions to find out more.Some readers

    There is a wide range of activities in The Coding License and the time allocated to each task varies. Activities mainly range from 25 to 50 minutes each. The total amount of teaching material provides 40+ lessons across the age ranges.Some readers

    KUBO activities are designed to introduce principles of coding, which typically feature as part of a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) or Computer Science curriculum, but all of the activities also include suggestions for extending the learning across multiple subjects including language, the arts and social studies.
